How Frequencies Effect Our Pets
Posted by Jewel on Mar 12, 2026
Many people in our community have been noticing something a little different in the atmosphere lately. The energy feels stronger, emotions can feel closer to the surface, sleep patterns may shift, and even our animals sometimes act a little more sensitive or aware.
Because animals live much closer to the rhythms of nature than we do, they often notice energetic changes before we do.
One thing people talk about during times like this is the Schumann Resonance.
The Schumann Resonance is simply the natural electromagnetic pulse of the Earth. Think of it like the planet’s heartbeat. The Earth and the sky above it form a kind of giant electrical circuit. Lightning strikes all around the planet every day, and that constant activity creates a gentle standing wave that vibrates through the atmosphere.
Scientists discovered that the main frequency of this natural Earth pulse is about 7.83 cycles per second, which is called 7.83 hertz. A hertz just means “cycles per second,” or how fast something vibrates.
What is interesting is that this number sits very close to the brainwave frequency humans experience during calm awareness, meditation, and deep relaxation. Many people describe this frequency as the Earth’s “background rhythm.”

When solar activity increases, things can get a little more interesting.
The Sun constantly releases energy toward Earth in the form of solar wind, solar flares, and coronal mass ejections. A solar flare is basically a burst of radiation from the Sun. A coronal mass ejection is when the Sun throws a large cloud of charged particles into space.
When those particles reach Earth, they interact with our planet’s magnetic field. This can create beautiful auroras in the sky, but it also temporarily affects the electromagnetic environment surrounding the planet.
NASA explains solar flares and space weather here:

During stronger solar activity, the Schumann Resonance charts sometimes show spikes or fluctuations. Many people in the holistic and energy-aware communities believe that these changes can influence how sensitive beings feel, including animals.
Pets are incredibly intuitive. They don’t filter life through constant thinking the way humans do. They feel energy directly.
Some pet parents report that during strong solar activity or energetic shifts their animals may:
• sleep more than usual
• become extra cuddly or clingy
• feel restless or want to be outside more
• seem unusually alert or aware
• have bursts of playful energy
Of course, not every change in behavior is energetic. Animals can have normal ups and downs just like we do. But many people notice patterns during periods when the Earth’s electromagnetic environment becomes more active.
Animals are deeply connected to the natural world. Birds navigate using the Earth’s magnetic field. Sea turtles sense subtle changes in the planet’s energy to find their migration paths. Even dogs have been shown to align their bodies with Earth’s magnetic field when they relieve themselves.
Research into animal magnetoreception (their ability to sense magnetic fields) can be found here:

So it isn’t unreasonable to wonder if changes in Earth’s electromagnetic environment might be something our pets feel.
When energetic activity around the planet increases, the best thing we can do is stay grounded and support our animals with calm, stable energy.
Fresh water.
Good natural, raw food and treats.
Time outdoors.
Gentle touch.
Quiet spaces to rest.
Animals often mirror our own state of being. When we stay centered, they usually settle right along with us.
Right now many people feel that the planet is moving through a period of stronger energetic waves. Whether you see this through a spiritual lens, a scientific one, or simply through your own observations, it can be fascinating to watch how both humans and animals respond.
I would love to hear from our community.
How are your pets doing lately?
- Are they sleeping more?
- More playful?
- Clingy and feeling like they need more attention?
- Extra sensitive or affectionate?
- Uncomfortable or bothered by something?
Our animals are often little energetic barometers for what is happening around us.
Sometimes they may be adjusting to the same cosmic weather we are.
And as always, they remind us of the most important thing…
Stay present.
Stay connected to nature.
And stay grounded in love.
