How to Raise A Holistic, Happy, Healthy, HighVibe Pet is a compassionate guide for pet parents who want to do the best they can with what they have. It’s about navigating modern life with awareness and intention. About understanding how food, stress, environment, emotions, and energy shape our animals’ wellbeing. And about making choices, big or small, that support life rather than drain it.
You don’t have to do everything. You only have to listen, observe, and begin. This book is an invitation to raise your animals with greater confidence, clarity, and love, and to rediscover the quiet joy that comes from living in alignment with nature, one choice at a time.
This book is the natural extension of everything I’ve learned over decades of caring for animals. It’s about supporting health rather than fighting disease. It’s about food, environment, emotions, energy, and the quiet bond between humans and their animals. This is not about perfection or doing everything “right.” It’s about simple, conscious choices that raise vitality and trust the body’s innate wisdom. It meets you where you are and helps you begin, gently.
Jazzy Jade, Joy, Justice, and JuJu, my beloved J pack, my own pets on the cover have walked beside me through my times of learning, unlearning, healing, and remembering. Mu and Wu, our Bengal kitties who live above the shop, remind me that curiosity, presence, and grace are forms of wisdom. Each of them has been a teacher, a mirror, and a steady guide, quietly shaping the way I understand health, connection, and what it truly means to live well.
This book grew out of a lifetime of trying to keep things as natural, clean, and honest as possible in a world that doesn’t always make that easy. My love for plants, crystals, animals, and the rhythms of nature has been a constant thread throughout my life. These are not trends to me. They are companions. They have supported me in finding balance when life felt overwhelming and clarity when the noise of the modern world became too loud.
I am Rhonda Jewel, the founder of HolisticPetCare.com, a certified Animal Naturopath and a long time Holistic Health Practitioner. I am now 71 years when this book is published. I’m still doing the work I was called to do long ago: helping animals thrive by honoring their natural design. For more than three decades, my life has been devoted to raising the vibration of pet care through animal naturopathy, homeopathy, herbs, raw feeding, colloidal silver, and simple, natural remedies that support the body rather than suppress it.
From childhood, animals have been my teachers. I once planned to become a veterinarian when I was young, but I eventually realized that conventional veterinary medicine, while invaluable for diagnosis, emergencies, and surgery, did not fully align with my understanding of healing. True vitality, as I’ve come to know it, lives in balance, energy, and harmony. It emerges when we remove interference and allow the body’s innate intelligence to do what it has always known how to do.
This book is born from lived experience. From decades of learning, unlearning, and choosing again. From life with dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, plants, crystals, farms, clinics, and homes where health was not a product, but a relationship. The natural world has been my constant companion, guiding me back to simplicity when modern life grew loud and overwhelming.
I understand how challenging it can feel to care deeply in a fast-paced world. Convenience is tempting. Bagged kibble is easy. Vet visits are familiar. Rethinking food, environment, and daily habits can feel intimidating when life is already full. This book does not ask for perfection, nor does it judge the choices you’ve made. It meets you where you are.

Dead to Divine – My Memoir is available now.
This book is a raw, honest telling of my life as I remember it. From my years around the Grateful Dead world, through love, loss, addiction, awakening, and ultimately into a life of service through animals and holistic healing. This was written as a catharsis and a release, not to impress, but to tell the truth as it lived inside me. It is about shedding old identities, surviving what felt unsurvivable, and discovering that something sacred was guiding me all along. Readers often say it feels like sitting across from a friend who finally tells the whole story.
Together, these books tell one continuous story. One is about remembering who we are. The other is about how we care once we remember.
