Hi there! I'm Rhonda Jewel, the heart and soul behind Holistic Pet Care. With over 30 years of dedicated experience in animal holistic health, my passion has always been to empower pet parents with natural solutions to ensure their furry companions lead vibrant, healthy, and joyful lives.
A Lifelong Love for Animals
My journey began as a child, surrounded by a remarkable variety of pets—from dogs and cats to raccoons, parrots, lizards, and even a pet monkey! My love for animals was clear from the start, and at just seven years old, I got my first horse. These formative experiences with such diverse creatures ignited a fascination with natural animal care that has grown ever since.
Pioneering Holistic Pet Care
Over 40 years ago, in California, I began my career as a Holistic Health Practitioner, blending my deep love for animals with a passion for holistic healing. This led me to launch my first holistic pet care business in 1997, specializing in Veterinary Homeopathy and Natural Rearing.
On our horse and herb farm in Ashland, Oregon, I delved into the world of raw foods, herbs, and homeopathy for pets—long before these practices became mainstream. These early explorations laid the foundation for my mission: to offer pets and their owners truly transformative health solutions rooted in nature.
Innovating with Colloidal Silver
A pivotal discovery in my journey was colloidal silver. After using it personally for years, I witnessed its incredible benefits for pets—especially my Pomeranian, Juniper. Her improved health inspired me to make this remarkable natural remedy accessible and affordable for all pet owners. In 2013, I launched Holistic Pet Care online, with colloidal silver becoming our signature product.
