Hi, I'm Jewel, founder of Holistic Pet Care.
Holistic Pet Care is a woman-owned and operated, home-based company dedicated to creating small-batch, natural pet wellness products with intention, integrity, and heart. We aren't a mass-production factory. We're a peaceful sanctuary where quality comes before quantity, and every product is consciously handcrafted with love.
Everything we create begins with this one simple belief: that the greatest teacher has always been nature herself. She reminds us that everything is connected. The health of our animals is connected to the food they eat, the water they drink, the environment they live in, the love they receive, and the energy that surrounds them. Holistic living isn't complicated. It's simply living in harmony with the natural world and honoring the wisdom that already exists within every living being. That understanding has shaped Holistic Pet Care from the very beginning and continues to guide every product we create. We don't just make natural products, we strive to create them in a way that reflects the balance, beauty, and interconnectedness of life itself. Our pets deserve the same love, care, and respect that we give to our own families.
When we say natural, we mean more than just organic or non-GMO ingredients. We also mean choosing ingredients with intention, purity, and purpose, and infusing them with HighVibe frequencies and positive energy.
When we say small batch, we mean something very different than most companies. Every product is lovingly handcrafted in our home-based workshop, nestled within the sanctuary I've created over many years. This is where my gardens flourish, my dogs come in and out and play in the grass outside while the cats watch over from their perch on the catio, the birds sing outside the windows, and nature is part of every day. It's a place intentionally designed to be peaceful, grounded, and alive with the rhythms of the natural world. We believe the energy of the place where something is created becomes part of what it carries into the world.
When we say HighVibe, we mean every product is created with heart in a space intentionally cultivated with uplifting energy. Surrounded by living plants, crystals, tensor tools, Tesla purple plates, healing frequencies, prayer, gratitude, and loving intention, we believe everything carries an energetic signature. It's our hope that the care, peace, and positive energy infused into our sanctuary become part of every bottle we lovingly send to you. That's what HighVibe means to us.
We don't use preservatives in any of our products, so they can't sit on a warehouse shelf for years. We make them in small batches and send them directly from our home to yours, as fresh as possible.
Every bottle is filled, labeled, packed, and shipped by our small team with genuine care. When your package arrives, we hope it feels less like it came from a corporation and more like it came from a friend who truly cares about you and your animals.

About Me
I've always felt called to help animals heal. From the time I was a child, I shared my life with every kind of pet imaginable and had planned from a young age on becoming a veterinarian. As I learned more about conventional veterinary medicine, I realized my heart was leading me in a different direction. While I deeply value modern veterinary medicine for diagnosis, emergencies, and surgery, I was drawn to approaches that focus on supporting the body's natural ability to heal and addressing the root causes of imbalance.
That calling led me into the world of holistic health, where I spent decades studying and practicing natural wellness for both people and animals. My work as a Holistic Health Practitioner, massage therapist, herbalist, aromatherapist, esthetician, and organic skin care professional gave me a deep understanding of how nutrition, lifestyle, environment, and natural therapies influence health. Working in spas, holistic health clinics, and later on herb farms expanded my experience and reinforced my belief that true wellness comes from supporting the whole being, not simply managing symptoms.
As my knowledge grew, my lifelong passion for animals naturally became the focus of my work. Beginning in the early 1990s, I immersed myself in holistic animal health, studying herbalism, aromatherapy, organic animal care, raw feeding, nutrition, homeopathy, bodywork, behavior, and natural living. Each area of study became another piece of the foundation that eventually led to the creation of Holistic Pet Care and my work helping pet parents raise healthy, happy, high-vibe companions.
The Birth of Holistic Pet Care
After moving to Oregon in 1993, I began focusing more deeply on animals. I studied Veterinary Homeopathy, earned certification, and started a holistic pet practice on my herb and horse farm in Ashland in 1997, long before natural pet care was mainstream. I worked with raw foods, herbs, and homeopathy, discovering the profound difference that living, "high-vibe" foods and natural remedies made.
After moving to Canada for a while on sabbatical to work on creating my online business, I welcomed a Pomeranian puppy into my life, Juniper, in 2011, and my work came full circle. I raised her with raw feeding and a natural-first approach to her care, drawing on the pioneering holistic approach I'd been building since my early days in Oregon to create her wellness routine. By 2013, Holistic Pet Care online was born, inspired by the powerful benefits I witnessed through colloidal silver and natural healing.
Since then, I have educated and supported pet parents across the country in raising naturally healthy pets, teaching them how to use nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, and natural remedies to strengthen immunity, support vitality, and reduce their reliance on unnecessary pharmaceuticals, working alongside their holistic veterinarian.
Decades Ahead of the Trend
Holistic veterinary medicine didn't become an organized movement until 1982, when a small group of like-minded veterinarians came together to found the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. I'd started my own path a year before that, in 1981, and by the time I opened my holistic pet practice in Ashland in 1997, this approach was still nowhere near mainstream. Even today, only a small fraction of veterinarians practice holistic medicine. I've spent nearly three decades in this space, and I've watched it grow from something almost nobody had heard of into a movement so many pet parents now seek out.
My Philosophy

My professional journey includes:

• Studied and worked at Taylors Herb Gardens in Vista California (1991)
(Taylor's Herb Gardens was a famous, historic 25-acre herb farm in Vista, California, run by Kent and Betty Taylor.)
• Studied holistic health for animals including herbalism, aromatherapy, and organic care for pets and farm animals (1993)
• Learned and practiced species-appropriate nutrition and raw feeding (since 1996)
• Certified in Veterinary Homeopathy (1997)
• Trained in TTouch®, Healing Touch, and massage for animals (1990s)
• Studied animal behavior, behavioral psychology, and toxin-free living.
• Certified Meditation and Yoga Teacher (2009)
• Learned the formulation and natural applications of colloidal silver (2013)
• Certified Small Animal Naturopath (2016)
